The Resident Director, Ingrid, coordinates all aspects of the program including academic planning, housing and social and cultural activities. Ingrid is a first generation German-American from Indiana. She was a student on the AIFS Salzburg program in 1980-81. After finishing her studies at Harrington Institute of Interior Design and Indiana University, she returned to Salzburg in 1987 to become AIFS Assistant Director from 1987-1996. Ingrid worked for IBM in Salzburg before returning to AIFS to become the Resident Director in Salzburg in Fall 1999.

The Summer School Director, Susanne Blumauer, is a native of Salzburg. She lived in the United States for 5 years and studied at Brevard Community College in Florida where she received her degree in Graphic Design.
Susanne organizes all housing placements and serves as a liaison between students, dorm directors and the University of Salzburg. She and her staff offer academic counseling, organize cultural activities and excursions and help with everyday questions or concerns.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
