Colin, originally from Blackpool, England, has lived in Europe, the US and Asia over a period of many years. He graduated from the London School of Economics, undertook specialist post-graduate certificates and diplomas in education awarded by the Institute of Education, University of London, an MA in Education Management and professional qualifications from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. Colin has taught at Richmond University and various institutions of higher education.

Colin has been with AIFS since 1989 and has established several AIFS programs in China since 2003.  His interests include soccer and travel. He has studied Mandarin, French and Spanish.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.

Special features of the AIFS program:

The programs in China are all at highly reputable Chinese universities with special academic arrangements for both carefully constructed introductory level Mandarin courses (and beyond) and for a range of courses taught in English. They include a rich cultural program and extensive escorted visits to other locations in this huge country. While Colin focuses on academic and cultural program support and logistics, carefully selected and trained bilingual residence staff provide students with opportunities to get involved in campus activities.
