Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU)
Founded in 1962 under the direct leadership of the Education Ministry of China, Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) serves as the national center for teaching Chinese language and culture to foreigners, and for training teachers specialized in teaching Chinese as a second language.
BLCU confers degrees at Bachelor, Master and PhD level. Each year, the University enrolls approximately 9,000 full-time students: approximately 6,000 are foreign students from more than 100 countries. BLCU has the largest number of foreign students in Beijing. The University currently cooperates with more than 50 distinguished institutions in more than 20 countries.
