Monday, October 4 or May 2 Transfer to Beijing airport for flight to Nanjing. Arrive in Nanjing and transfer to tourist hotel. Afternoon visit to Zhan Garden, Taiping Rebellion Museum and Confucius Temple area. Evening welcome dinner. Overnight in Nanjing.

Tuesday, October 5 or May 3 Guided visits to the Dr Sun Mausoleum at the foot of Purple Mountain, and the famous Nanjing Massacre Museum with lunch included. Free evening in Nanjing. Overnight in Nanjing.

Wednesday, October 6 or May 4 Morning transfer by private bus to Suzhou, "Heaven on Earth", visit to the Humble Administrator's Garden and after an included lunch, the Tiger Hill Tower and Gardens. Free evening. Overnight in Suzhou.

Thursday, October 7 or May 5 Morning transfer by private bus to Shanghai. Guided sightseeing tour of old Shanghai. Visit the Yu Garden, the Bund and Nanjing Road, the famous shopping street. Lunch and dinner included. Evening free in Shanghai. Overnight in Shanghai.

Friday, October 8 or May 6 Morning guided visit to the Shanghai Urban Exhibition Center. Lunch. Afternoon visit to the Shanghai World Expo 2010 (or the permanent buildings from the Expo). Evening Shanghai River Boat Cruise. Overnight in Shanghai.

Saturday, October 9 or May 7 Morning visit to Shanghai Pudong and the Oriental Pearl T.V. Tower. Lunch. Rest of day free in Shanghai. Overnight in Shanghai.

Sunday, October 10 or May 8 Transfer to Shanghai airport for flight to Beijing. Continue to campus.

Overnight excursion to Tianjin (Included in fee)

Friday, October 30 or April 16 Morning departure by high-speed train from Beijing South Station to Tianjin. Visit the old financial district and the famous river walk with lunch included. Enjoy a free evening in this historic city which blends Western and Eastern culture. Overnight in Tianjin.

Saturday, October 31 or April 17 Morning visit to the new Tianjin Eco-City, a forward-looking project for environmentally conscious living in cooperation with Singapore. Lunch included. Free time in Tianjin and evening high-speed train back to Beijing.

Weekend excursion to Xian (Included in fee)

Guided excursion to Xian, home of the Terracotta Warriors, a former capital of the Chinese Empire for almost a thousand years and one of China's oldest settlements.

Friday, November 19 or March 18 Late afternoon transfer to Beijing West Station for overnight soft-sleeper train to Xian.

Saturday, November 20 or March 19 Early morning arrival in Xian, transfer to hotel, breakfast. Guided visits to the Shaanxi Museum, Big Goose Pagoda and Great Mosque. Lunch included. Evening Tang Dynasty Cultural Show with dinner. Overnight in Xian.

Sunday, November 21 or March 20 Guided visits to the Terracotta Warriors with lunch included followed by the City Wall. Evening soft-sleeper train back to Beijing arriving early next morning
