Friday, August 28 or February 26 Arrive Shanghai and transfer to hotel.

Saturday, August 29 or February 27 Morning guided sightseeing tour of old Shanghai. Visit the Yu Garden, the Bund and Nanjing Road, the famous shopping street. Evening welcome dinner followed by river boat ride.

Sunday, August 30 or February 28 Morning guided tour of new Shanghai, Pudong and the Oriental Pearl T.V. Tower. Afternoon transfer to Nanjing campus.

7-day visit to Beijing and Xian (Included in fee)

Guided excursion to Beijing (the capital of the People's Republic of China, the political, economic planning and cultural center and host to the 2008 Olympics) and to Xian (a former capital of the Chinese Empire for almost a thousand years and one of China's oldest settlements).

Thursday, October 1 or April 29 Transfer to Nanjing airport for flight to Beijing. Arrive in Beijing and transfer to student hotel. Evening welcome dinner. Overnight in Beijing.

Friday, October 2 or April 30 Guided visits to Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Tian An Men Square. Lunch included. Afternoon free. Evening visit to Lao She Tea House. Overnight in Beijing.

Saturday, October 3 or May 1 Morning guided visit to the Great Wall. Lunch included. Afternoon guided visit to the Summer Palace. Evening free. Overnight in Beijing.

Sunday, October 4 or May 2 Morning guided visit to Hutong. Lunch included. Afternoon guided visit to the Chinese History Museum. Evening overnight train to Xian.

Monday, October 5 or May 3 Morning arrival in Xian. Guided visits to the City Wall, Shaanxi Museum, First Emperor Shi Huang Tomb. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight in Xian.

Tuesday, October 6 or May 4 Guided visits to the Terracotta Warriors, Big Goose Pagoda and Calligraphy Tomb Forest. Lunch and dinner included. Overnight in Xian.

Wednesday, October 7 or May 5 Transfer to Xian airport for flight to Nanjing. Arrive in Nanjing and transfer to Nanjing University student residence.

Saturday, November 7 or April 3 Guided day trip to Suzhou (known as "Paradise in Heaven"), Jiangsu Province, to include City Tour, visits to the Humble Administrator's Garden and the Tiger Hill Tower with lunch included.
