Friday, June 11 Morning orientation and tour of Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU). Afternoon class.
Saturday, June 12 Morning class. Afternoon visit to Forbidden City and Tian An Men Square.
Sunday, June 13 Visit to Great Wall of China. Evening get-together and forum with BLCU students.
Monday, June 14 Morning class. Afternoon visit to the Hutongs.
Tuesday, June 15 Morning business visit. Afternoon visit to Beijing Olympic Park.
Wednesday, June 16 Morning class. Afternoon free to explore Beijing.
Thursday, June 17 Check out of hotel. Free day in Beijing. Early evening transfer to West Beijing train station for overnight sleeper train to Xian.
Friday, June 18 Early morning arrival in Xian. Begin tour, which includes, over two days, Terra-Cotta Warriors, Shaanxi Museum, Big Goose Pagoda, Great Mosque and City Wall.
Saturday, June 19 Continuation of tour in Xian. Evening Tang Dynasty Cultural Show.
Sunday, June 20 Morning departure for flight from Xian to Nanjing. Transfer to student accommodation. Evening welcome dinner.
Monday, June 21 Morning class. Afternoon visit to the Zhan Garden and Museum of Taiping Uprising.
Tuesday, June 22 Morning class. Afternoon visit to Dr. Sun-Yat Sen’s Mausoleum.
Wednesday, June 23 Morning class. Afternoon free.
Thursday, June 24 Morning class. Afternoon visit to Nanjing Massacre Museum.
Friday, June 25 Morning class. Afternoon free.
Saturday, June 26 Morning visit to Qixia Mountain and Temple. Afternoon free.
Sunday, June 27 Morning departure from Nanjing by bus for Hangzhou (capital of Zhejiang Province). Afternoon arrival at Hangzhou and transfer to student accommodation.
Monday, June 28 Morning tour of Hangzhou (“Heaven on Earth”) including Lingyin Temple and afternoon visit to West Lake.
Tuesday, June 29 Morning visit to a tea plantation. Afternoon free in Hangzhou.
Wednesday, June 30 Morning transfer to Shanghai. Afternoon city tour including Yuan Garden, the Bund, and the Nanjing Road. Evening arrival at student accommodation.
Thursday, July 1 Morning class. Afternoon business visit.
Friday, July 2 Morning class. Afternoon guest lecture.
Saturday, July 3 Morning visit to Oriental Pearl T.V. Tower, Pudong. Afternoon free in Shanghai.
Sunday, July 4 Day Excursion to Suzhou (“Paradise on Earth”) Including Humble Administrators Garden. Evening free in Shanghai.
Monday, July 5 Morning visit to Shanghai Urban Planning Exhibition Center. Afternoon visit to Shanghai World Expo 2010.
Tuesday, July 6 Morning class. Afternoon business visit. Evening farewell dinner and river boat ride.
Wednesday, July 7 Morning class. Afternoon free.
Thursday, July 8 Departure from Shanghai to the U.S.
