Miranda spent a year in Zambia, Africa, as a volunteer and teacher before attending North Staffordshire Polytechnic in England, where she received her BA. She has worked with American professors and students on AIFS programs in England and France for over 20 years.
In 1989 Miranda moved to Paris to coordinate the AIFS Partnership program. From 1990-94 she was cultural coordinator of the AIFS program at the Sorbonne. In 1994 she was appointed Resident Director of the AIFS program in Grenoble. She is fluent in French and English. Her interests include French culture and cuisine, swimming and literature.
The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
Special features of the AIFS program:
Grenoble was voted the most popular student city in France. The city is surrounded by mountains, in close proximity to Switzerland and Italy. AIFS provides trips to London, Geneva, Provence and Paris. Family homestays provide the opportunity to improve French and develop an appreciation of French culture and cuisine while living in a French home.
