After High School Viola took part in the Au Pair in America program and stayed with a host family in Pennsylvania for a year. She then went to Potsdam University, Germany, to receive a Master of Arts degree in English, German, Media studies and German as a foreign language. During her studies Viola spent an academic year abroad in Budapest, Hungary. Since 2002 she has worked for AIFS interviewing German participants and later also becoming the Branch Manager of the Berlin office. In her free time Viola enjoys running, yoga, dancing and traveling. Viola coordinates all aspects of the program including academic planning, housing and social and cultural activities.

The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
