Jose Carlos de la Puente
José Carlos received his first-class Honors degree in History from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú before completing a Masters degree at Texas Christian University. While obtaining these degrees, he developed his teaching experience at the respective institutions. Jose Carlos is now completing his Doctorate thesis on “Indigenous travelers to Spain, 16th and 17th centuries” at Texas Christian University. In 2007, he published his first book, which explores politics and witchcraft accusations in colonial Peru. José Carlos taught the Inca Culture course in English for the AIFS Summer Program in Cusco in 2008 and is fluent in Spanish and English.
The Resident Director provides academic advice, introduces you to the community and handles communication with the University.
